Information about Setting out Trash Carts
Please place carts 3 feet away from each other and any other objects (cars, mailboxes, trees, etc.)
For safety and efficiency of your service, please:
- Place all items in J&M Sanitation provided cart(s) and out by 7:00 am
- Ensure all trash, recycling, and yard waste is contained in J&M Sanitation carts
- Place carts in the street against the curb
- Place carts at least 3 feet away from other carts, vehicles, mailboxes, or other objects
- When possible, leave a space of 10 feet between your trash carts and cars, trees, mail boxes, and basketball hoops. We use trucks with automated collection arms and this spacing is needed for them to function effectively.
- Place carts in area free of overhead trees, wires, etc. (18 feet clearance)
- Make sure cart handles face your house
- Make sure lids are closed on Tip carts, No overfilling
- In accordance with Ada County Ordinance No. 938, loose and/or bagged waste placed outside tip carts will NOT be collected, Needs to be scheduled.
- If you have extra trash that does not fit in the trash cart, please call J&M to schedule an extra pick up.
- Weekly residential garbage collection is performed on Monday through Friday.

Holiday Schedule
J&M Sanitation observes six holidays throughout the year.
- New Years Day
- Memorial Day
- Fourth of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If your collection day falls before the holiday, your trash and recycling will be collected on your usual day.
If your collection day falls on or after the holiday, your garbage and recycling will be collected one day later that week.
If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there will be no delays in collection.
